Performance review training

AN updated version of of the
online course Effective performance
reviews has been published by the
Pharmacy Guild of Australia on its
myCPD learning platform.
The course is free to all
Guild members and employee
pharmacists working in Guild
member pharmacies and available
to non-members for $250, payable
upon enrolment, the Guild has said.
“Performance appraisals or
reviews are not always easy
conversations to have.
“But they are necessary and
provide an opportunity for the
pharmacist to discuss performance
expectations, monitor the progress
of performance and formally review
performance outcomes,” ” said Sue
Bond of Guild Pharmacy Academy.
“They are also a great opportunity
to recognise good performance and
celebrate successes.”
The new course is designed to
help pharmacists identify the key
drivers of employee engagement,
identify aspects of performance
review processes and key actions
to take to prepare for reviews
and place three performance related
conversations within the
framework of a review process.
The course also helps identify
appropriate performance feedback
conversation structures and the key
aims of career discussions.
This program has been accredited
for 1.25 hours of Group 1 CPD (or
1 CPD credit) suitable for inclusion
in an individual pharmacist’s CPD
plan, which can be converted to
1.25 hours of Group 2 CPD (or
2.5 CPD credits) upon successful
completion of assessment activities.
