FORMER co-owner of the New England Compounding Center, Gregory Conigliaro, has been sentenced to one year behind bars for conspiring to defraud the US Government.
Conigliaro was convicted of lying to the US Food and Drug Administration, by saying the company was dispensing medications for patient-specific prescriptions.
The company was found to have shipped tainted medical steroids to patients across the US, which saw hundreds of patients fall ill and approximately 100 deaths.
