Commenting on the results of the CONTACT study, which found Cationorm (cationic nanoemulsion) eased ocular discomfort associated with dry eye after 15 days in 84% of contact lens wears, Tassone said as trusted and accessible health professionals pharmacists were well placed to offer support to patients dealing with the condition.
He added that pharmacists welcomed innovative, evidence-based products that provide patients with increased relief from conditions such as ocular dryness.
