CO-FOUNDER of Cochrane, an independent organisation assessing medical evidence, Professor Peter Gotzsche, is in Australia this week for a speaking tour. In his somewhat controversial talks he purports many of our most commonly used prescription drugs from painkillers to antidepressants are killing us off. “It’s remarkable nobody raises an eyebrow when we kill so many of our own citizens with drugs,” Gotzsche explained to Fairfax media. His next event is tomorrow at the Adina Apartment Hotel, in Brisbane.
