PANASONIC has unveiled its latest foray into medical machinery, titled the Cardiohealth Station. Currently undergoing testing for FDA approval, the Station is designed to assist health professionals in early detection of high risk patients in the asymptomatic population. The device is operatorindependent, features real time reportage, and works by sensing the carotid-intima media thickness and the presence of plaque in patients’ hearts. Panasonic said the gadget provides real time reportage on its findings.
