THE Pharmacy Guild of Australia's National President Trent Twomey has announced that Senator the Hon Anne Ruston Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care (pictured), will present at the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP2023) on the morning of Thu 23 Mar.
"The Pharmacy Guild of Australia has had a strong and robust working relationship with Senator Ruston over the past year in her role as Shadow Minister.
"We are looking forward to Senator Ruston attending and presenting at APP2023 for the first time and hearing her views on community pharmacists practicing to their full scope and the vital role community pharmacy plays within Australia's primary healthcare system," Twomey said.
Conference Convenor, Kos Sclavos AM welcomed the announcement of Senator Ruston presenting at APP2023 and encourages pharmacists to register now to hear the pharmacy industry's evolution towards full scope of practice.
"I am delighted Senator Ruston has taken the time during the busy Parliamentary sitting week to address around 6,000 delegates on the Gold Coast and speak to the hard-working community pharmacy professionals.
"She speaks at APP's official opening on 23 Mar," Sclavos said.
