Shire acquires Movetis

BIOPHARMACEUTICAL company shire has acquired 99.21% of the shares of Movetis NV, a drug developer specialising in treatments for gastrointestinal diseases. The remaining shares will, according to reports, be “squeezed-out” in an additional tender offer.
