THE ‘Painful Situations’ theme of
this year’s Society of Hospital
Pharmacists Medicines
Management 2010 National
Conference is set to cover an array
of pain related topics, including
analgesic abuse.
Sessions are set to cover ‘the
prescription drug epidemic’,
palliative care, pain in the
emergency department,
neuropathic pain, burns pain, as
well as a session on pain
management in a multidisciplinary
pain clinic.
“Pain management is a constant
in health care, regardless of your
clinical setting,” said Alice
Kochman, convenor of the
MM2010Conference.
“These expert speakers will
provide food for thought and a
great opportunity for delegates to
be current, informed and
connected” she added.
