SHPA updates CPD

THE Society of Hospital
Pharmacists has updated its
shpacpd Continuing Professional
Development program to meet the
new Pharmacy Board of Australia
requirements for registration
renewal under the new scheme
which commences at the beginning
of next month.
“The provision of quality
continuing professional
development has always been a
core and valued member service,”
said SHPA president, Neil Keen.
“Now we have a national focus
on enhancing skills and competency
as part of annual re-registration.
“All members can meet these
requirements seamlessly by using
SHPA products that are part of their
core membership and via the new
CPD online recording system that
guides them to record key learnings
and to reflect on the value to their
day-to-day work,” he added.
SHPA members can also print
CPD summaries that include all
activities and PBA CPD credits as
either Group 1, 2 or 3 activities.
The society its membership base
is rapidly expanding to include
pharmacists working in public and
private hospitals, community
pharmacy, academia, research,
industry and government.
