Tax to affect smokers

GUILD President Kos Sclavos says the planned tax increases on cigarettes (PD Fri) will provide a further impetus for smokers to quit, and are likely to see more smokers visiting pharmacies for advice. He said the impact of price was found to be greatest amongst longterm smokers, with smoking set to cost many almost $3000 a year.
