TGA privacy changes

THE Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has advised that its Agreement to Treatment Directions form has been amended to include a privacy statement to be compliant with Australian Privacy Principle 5 (notification of the collection and disclosure of privacy information) as part of the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012. MONTU Group, its subsidiary Alternaleaf Pty Ltd, and their common director Christopher Strauch are facing legal action by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in the Federal Court of Australia for alleged unlawful advertising on the effectiveness of their medicinal cannabis products.
