DISCOUNT pharmacy group Discount Drug Stores (DDS) has determined to "Turn the Beat Around" during this National Stroke Week 03-09 Sep with its free heart health screening.
The objective is to detect a patient's risk of cardiovascular and heart disease, as well as providing tips on how to lower their risk.
It is estimated that every 30 minutes an Aussie dies from heart disease, contributing to almost one in four of all deaths recorded in 2016, DDS said in a statement.
Almost three quarters (73%) of Australians aged 30 to 65 years old have been told they have at least one risk factor linked to heart disease.
