GLAXOSMITHKLINE and the US
government have announced an inprincple
agreement which will see
the drug manufacturer pay US$3
billion to settle investigations into
GSK’s sales and marketing.
The deal covers both criminal and
civil liabilties, with ceo Andrew
Witty saying the tentative deal is a
“significant step toward resolving
difficult, long-standing matters
which do not reflect the company
