THE Victorian Pharmacy Authority has released a summary of Jan Panel Hearings. Three Panel Hearings were held in Jan looking into allegations that licensees had failed to meet their responsibilities. All three cases involved record keeping and or storage and safety relating to S8 poisons. In two cases, proprietors were cautioned, one of whom was asked to develop written procedures for handling of S8 poisons. In the third case the proprietor was reprimanded and required to develop a pharmacotherapy procedure manual for his practice.
