DEFICIENCY of vitamin D during growth and development has been clearly associated with a range of health concerns, incuding the risk of chronic diseases such as type 1 diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis and many types of cancer, according to a study summarising the effects in the International Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics.
The study went on to confirm that vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency is also common to obese and overweight adolescents, and linked to the previousy associated chronic conditions - CLICK HERE.
