A GLITTERING awards ceremony last night saw Symbion recognise a range of industry suppliers, with the inaugural Symbion Engage Awards taking place in Melbourne. About 150 people attended the event which included awards in 11 categories. “We’ve developed these awards to inspire our suppliers to foster relationships that go beyond the traditional supply and demand,” said Symbion general manager Pharmacy, Brett Barons. THE Pharmacy Guild of Australia has formally urged the Queensland government to establish a Pharmacy Council, with the move said to bring the state into line with all other Australian jurisdictions as well as “play an important role in bridging health gaps where pharmacies’ competencies could assist a health system under pressure”.
