Held at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, the Movicol Sense of Taste Event took pharmacists and pharmacy assistants on a sensory journey with the help of acclaimed experimental psychologist John Prescott.
Guests learnt the importance of taste when it comes to medical compliance and how patients can have different reactions to medications purely based on the flavour.
At the event, guests also had the opportunity to sample the current Movicol flavours; lemon-lime, chocolate, flavor free, and liquid orange. While many people think the favourite MOVICOL flavour is Lemon-Lime, because it is usually the most often dispensed, 81% of respondents on the night stated their preferred MOVICOL flavour is Chocolate.
