Police on the north coast of
NSW are investigating an incident
earlier this week in which a man
armed with an electronic taser
threatened staff in a pharmacy.
The attack happened on Mon
morning at Lakeside Pharmacy
Outlet in Raymond Terrace,
when the man “wrestled open”
an automatic exit door at the
pharmacy, according to the Port
Stephens Examiner.
Once inside the assailant faced a
64-year-old woman working behind
the front counter and demanded
money, at the same time
repeatedly activating the handheld
weapon causing it to spark.
However other staff and
customers quickly realised
that something was wrong and
approached the counter, at which
point the man fled without stealing
any cash.
Detectives are continuing to look
into the matter. The above article was sent to subscribers in Pharmacy Daily's issue from 16 Jul 15 To see the full newsletter, see the embedded issue below or CLICK HERE to download Pharmacy Daily from 16 Jul 15
