THE once bitten, twice shy theory didn't work so well for one unlucky Aussie who was bitten by a snake twice in the space of just three days.
The 18-year-old contractor was first bitten on the lower leg while clearing scrub on a Queensland property last week and was transferred to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
After being released he went back to work in the same paddock only to be nipped twice on the forearm by another snake.
While he has recovered from both attacks something tells us he might not be in such a rush to return to the paddock this time around.
IT TURNS out Apple Watches may do a fair bit more than just look on trend, with one UK man claiming the gadget saved his life by alerting him to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Via his Apple Watch the 51-year-old noticed his heart rate was abnormally low, sitting at around 42 beats per minute.
He continued to monitor his pulse and following a visit to his GP and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital he was diagnosed with cardiac sarcoidosis, a condition blocking signals to the heart.
He has since undergone surgery to have a defibrillator fitted.
Nice one Apple!
