NEW Zealand's medicines agency Pharmac has a new chairman, with the appointment of former Labour government minister Steve Maharey to the role.
Maharey is also an ex-vice chancellor of Auckland's Massey University, and replaces Stuart McLauchlan, moved aside after eight years by NZ health minister David Clark who said it was "time to refresh the leadership of the board".
