THE Advisory Committee on Medicines Scheduling has announced the downscheduling of diclofenac gel 2%, which will become a general sale item effective from 01 Oct.
The committee said making the stronger product more available will reduce the use of other oral NSAIDs and lead to improved adherence because it only needs to be applied twice daily.
