FEDERAL Health Minister Greg Hunt announced in parliament yesterday that legislative amendments to the My Health Record (MHR) platform would ensure police and government agencies are unable to access information against a patient's wish without a court order.
He added that electronic health records of people who wish to withdraw after the opt-out period ends would be deleted.
The announcement followed widespread concerns expressed by multiple groups around patient privacy and security associated with the database.
