DESPITE growing controversy surrounding the use of e-cigarettes or vaping, some companies are marketing their products with unsubstantiated claims that their e-cigarettes are "vitamin delivery devices" and "weight management aids".
The American Journal of Public Health reports this has prompted the US Food and Drug Administration to begin tightening regulatory control.
The FDA concerns revolve around the possible misconception that vaping could be associated with a healthy lifestyle, all in the absence of scientific evidence.
