THREE new vaccines are being fast-tracked to help deal with emerging diseases caused by little known but serious viral infections, reports the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (Cepi).
Committing $460m to speed development of vaccines to combat Mers, Lassa fever and Nipah viruses and seeking a further $500m from the World Economic Forum Davos, Cepi aims to have two new experimental vaccines ready for each disease within five years.
