THE National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and Public Health England have published new antibiotic prescribing guidance for patients with suspected pneumonia.
Both community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia are to be treated orally initially, then reviewed after microbiological testing confirms the organisms.
