AN URGENT consumer-recall has been issued in New Zealand for Worldwide Labs Melatonin, over concerns the capsules may contain metal particles.
Healthcare Logistics, working in consultation with the Medsafe Regulator, is recalling Worldwide Labs Melatonin Tabs 3mg 90s with lot number P1710056 and expiry date Oct 2020.
It's understood a small metal strand was found in a tablet in NZ, traced to a wire brush used to clean manufacturing equipment.
Pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and wholesalers are being asked to immediately inspect stock and quarantine items supplied after 28 Mar 2018, according to NZ Doctor.
