Revatio approval

THE Therapeutic Goods Administration has registered Pfizer’s Revatio (sildenafil citrate) in an introvenous formulation for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Revatio is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, approved for the treatment of PAH associated with connective tissue disease, to improve exercise capacity. It can be prescribed for adult patients who are currently using oral Revatio but temporarily unable to take oral therapy.
