RESEARCHERS in the USA have
published the results of a study
which found wide variations in the
potency of vitamin D supplements.
The strengths ranged from 9% to
140% of the doses listed on the
labels, with the scientists at the
Kaiser Permanente Center for
Health Research in Oregon saying
that although the doses were not
likely to be dangerous, some had
insufficient vitamin D to provide
